The biggest fortune that we have in this world is faith. Our biggest goal is to live with faith and go back to our Lord with faith. The love of God, the greatest of all loves, and believing Him is the essence of our religion. Faith also begins in the heart and reflects upon our behaviors. The love of God in our hearths leads us to become nice humans and obey God s commands and prohibitions. In turn, our good deeds and worshipping enhance the love and faith in us. The faith march that has started with our Prophet (p.b.u.h.) has been continuing for generations. Each generation did their best to practice and pass on this religion to the next generation. Thus, Islamic knowledge has passed from hand to hand, from mouth to mouth, and from heart to heart and reached us.

The borders of the small Muslim city-state founded in Medina, comprised approximately of four-hundred families, reached Iraq and Palestine, only in a matter of ten years. The Companions were at war with Byzantine and Persia at the time of the bereavement of the Noble Messenger, though their standards of living had little changed as compared to ten years before. They continued persisting in their lives of abstinence. Excess consumption, greed, luxury and pomp were things unknown to the Companions, imbued with a constant awareness that awaiting the flesh, tomorrow, was but the grave. With the excitement and zest of faith, they instead used them as means for guiding humankind to its salvation. They molded their lives in the cast of seeking the pleasure of Allah. Without a doubt one of the most prominent reasons for the clear and rapid spread of Islam, like a glaring flash of morning light, among the oppressed and the exploited, was the fact that the Companions showed a perfect Muslim character wherever they stepped foot.

Hülefa-i Raşidin The most exceptional era in human history in terms of virtue, justice, altruism, and ethics was the era of the golden age of Islam. It is called a golden age because Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu a. s), whose inward spirit many Muslims understand as the original cause of creation, was alive in the world during that time.
